US magazine Mother Jones publishes an annual Student Activism Survey, which, this year, includes positive and negative statistics.
In the category “What’s Activism Anyway?,” 57% of students and 46% of nonstudents thought this included “Being a vegetarian;” however, in the category “Most Important Issues” 1% of students and 1.5% of nonstudents said it was animal rights.
Anyone care to suggest why?
