Animals and War

Abandoned puppies drink thirstily from containers provided by Hakol Chai/CHAI.
Men and guns liquored up by a belief system (religious or political) are the ingredients of war. The Grumpy Vegan finds it hard to accept 99 percent of the arguments used to justify war. It’s the one percent that’s troubling. But what we do know is that it’s the innocent who are most hurt: the poor, women, children and animals.

The use of animals to manufacture war is a particularly gruesome and shameful side to our human nature. Animals are used in research to develop better ways to harm people. Animals are directly used in warfare.

Now, brave people are rescuing animals as the conflict in the Middle East spins out of control.

It maybe all about men and guns fighting for religious or political (or both) beliefs. But it’s the international, billion dollar industry in armaments that is war’s pimp. There’s too much money to be made from war for it ever to be stopped.
