Last night was Hastings Bonfire Night organized by Hastings Borough Bonfire Society. It is a spectacular event attracting thousands of people to the town and is part of a long-standing tradition in Sussex for bonfires.

The Grumpy Vegan isn’t grumpy because the food he eats makes him grumpy. He’s a grumpy vegan because of what he sees non-vegans eat.

This photograph was taken late on a recent Friday afternoon from the beer garden of the Queens Head Inn in Icklesham and shows the view across the beautiful East Sussex countryside toward Rye and the English Channel.
