The Grumpy Vegan wants to give a quick plug to the December issue of the BBC History magazine because it contains an excellent article by the Ruskin College, Oxford historian, Hilda Kean, called “The Mood of Militancy.”
Vivisection, and the vocal and at times extreme protests it has provoked, is not a modern phenomenon. Hilda Kean highlights the growth of such activism from the late 19th century.
