Boycott Meat and Help Stop Global Warming

The Grumpy Vegan is happy to see the BBC and The Observer report positively on the comments of Dr. Rajendra Pachauri, chair of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, about the link between meat consumption and global warming.

The UN Food and Agriculture Organization has estimated that direct emissions from meat production account for about 18% of the world’s total greenhouse gas emissions. So I want to highlight the fact that among options for mitigating climate change, changing diets is something one should consider.

Congratulations to CIWF and their Annual Peter Roberts Memorial Lecture with Dr. Pachauri this evening in London.
