Last night, we ate the first crop from our allotment: Swiss Chard! It was cropped yesterday morning and eaten by last night. It was sauteed in olive oil with garlic. The Grumpy Vegan sprinkled gomasio over his. Gomasio, which I discovered decades ago when I explored Macrobiotics, is roasted sesame seeds ground with rock sea salt. It’s a delicious and nutritious nutty-flavoured seasoning. Anyway, the Swiss Chard was great. It was served with roasted potatoes and a home-made nut roast. Stupid me forgot to take a photograph as was starving and eating it was foremost in my mind rather than preserving it for prosperity.
