Economic Downturn May End Animal Shooting

HSUS’s Mike Markarian writes about Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal’s plan to shut down its nuisance animal control program, which traps beavers, coyotes and any other wild animals deemed a public nuisance to, according to press reports, “shrink state spending this year by $341 million, to wipe out a midyear budget deficit caused by the plunge in oil and gas prices.” More here.
