Here are, from left to right, Caroline Lucas MEP, Dr Jane Goodall and Dr Gill Langley presenting the Hadwen Trust's 150,000-plus signature petition in support of an EU-wide approach to ending animal research. The Grumpy Vegan is impressed by Caroline Lucas MEP, who represents the Green Party in southeast England. She routinely speaks out well about the issues I care about. If only all MPs and MEPs and elected representatives were as thoughtful and insightful as she is.
Recently, she held a high profile briefing on the future use of animals in medical research with Dr Jane Goodall and Dr Gill Langley of the Hadwen Trust. The objective is to develop a European Union strategy to phase out animal testing. Dr Goodall suggested creating a Nobel Prize for those who advance medical knowledge without the use of animal experimentation.
