Well, it did to the Grumpy Vegan. <\/p>\n<p>This is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oldenyoungbooks.co.uk\/index.htm\">Fifteenth Century Bookshop<\/a> in Lewes, East Sussex. <\/p>\n<p>We discovered this piece of heaven on earth recently. Got three books:<\/p>\n<p><em>Animals and Their Social Powers<\/em> by Mary Turner Andrewes (pub: 1881)<\/p>\n<p><em>Elephants: A short account of their natural history, evolution and influence on mankind<\/em> by Richard Carrington (pub: 1958)<\/p>\n<p><em>The Ark in the Park: The zoo in the nineteenth century<\/em> by Wilfrid Blunt (pub: 1976)<\/p>\n<p>Can&#8217;t wait to make a return visit to the bookshop and Lewes. The town boasts various plaques stating that Thomas Paine (he of <em>The Rights of Man<\/em>) spoke and stayed there, too.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Does this look like heaven to you?
