The Grumpy Vegan finds it hard to accept 99 percent of the arguments used to justify war. It&#8217;s the one percent that&#8217;s troubling. But what we do know is that it&#8217;s the innocent who are most hurt: the poor, women, children and animals.<\/p>\n<p>The use of animals to manufacture war is a particularly gruesome and shameful side to our human nature. Animals are used in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stopanimaltests.com\/f-taserAirForce.asp\">research<\/a> to develop better ways to harm people. Animals are directly <a href=\"http:\/\/observer.guardian.co.uk\/international\/story\/0,6903,1577753,00.html\">used<\/a> in warfare.<\/p>\n<p>Now, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chai-online.org\/en\/campaigns\/campaigns_dogfood.htm\">brave people<\/a> are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/aponline\/world\/AP-Mideast-Fighting-Saving-Animals.html?_r=1&#038;oref=login\">rescuing animals<\/a> as the conflict in the Middle East spins out of control. <\/p>\n<p>It maybe all about men and guns fighting for religious or political (or both) beliefs. But it&#8217;s the international, billion dollar industry in armaments that is war&#8217;s pimp.
