{"id":37,"date":"2006-07-22T17:03:51","date_gmt":"2006-07-22T21:03:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.grumpyvegan.com\/blog\/?p=37"},"modified":"2006-07-22T17:03:51","modified_gmt":"2006-07-22T21:03:51","slug":"37","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/grumpyvegan.com\/blog\/2006\/07\/22\/37\/","title":{"rendered":"Raw Vegan Caught Eating Nachos and Drinking Beer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the same week that Michael Harris was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.citypaper.com\/news\/story.asp?id=11954\">prominently featured<\/a> as a completely 100 percent raw vegan in <em>Baltimore City<\/em>&#8216;s free weekly newspaper, he was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.citypaper.com\/news\/story.asp?id=12003\">fingered<\/a> for eating nachos and drinking beer by his server who recognized him from the article.<\/p>\n<p>Lyndsi Mayer, waitress at the Fells Point&#8217;s Waterfront Hotel, told the City Paper that the nachos, chicken wings and fish are all fried in the same &#8220;grease.&#8221;  She confirmed that the nachos are &#8220;smothered with CHEESE [&#8230;] from a moo-cow!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Challenged, Harris demonstrated remarkable verbal dexterity worthy of any disgraced politician &#8220;100 percent vegan 90 percent of the time,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Now, you&#8217;re either vegan or you&#8217;re not.  But there&#8217;s room for some latitude.  (See <a href=\"http:\/\/grumpyvegan.com\/glossary.php?l=v\">Glossary<\/a> for the Grumpy Vegan&#8217;s approach to veganism.)
