\"\"<\/a>Of all the many gay-themed Web sites out there, this one, Woolf and Wilde<\/a>, is one of the Grumpy Vegan’s all-time favourites.<\/p>\n

Obviously named in honour of two literary icons, Woolf and Wilde bring together photographs depicting intimacy between men sometime ago with poetry which adds intense meaning and fresh insight.<\/p>\n

Were these two men wrestling in the countryside lovers? Indeed, are they wrestling at all? The poem suggests that they maybe but we will never know. Which is fine by\u00a0the Grumpy Vegan. Because the look between them and the body language suggests intimacy between men which, if it were more prevalent today, would surely help to dissolve all that stupid, silly macho nonsense we all have to put up with for no good reason.<\/p>\n

You are a murderer<\/p>\n

No you are not, but really a wrestler<\/p>\n

Either way it\u2019s just the same<\/p>\n

For from the ring of your entangled body<\/p>\n

Clean as leather, lustful as a lily<\/p>\n

Will nail me down<\/p>\n

On your stout neck like a column, like a pillar of tendons<\/p>\n

The thoughtful forehead<\/p>\n

(In fact, it\u2019s thinking nothing)<\/p>\n

When the forehead slowly moves and closes the heavy eyelids<\/p>\n

Inside, a dark forest awakens<\/p>\n

A forest of red parrots<\/p>\n

Seven almonds and grape leaves<\/p>\n

At the end of the forest a vine<\/p>\n

Covers the house where two boys<\/p>\n

Lie in each others arms: I\u2019m one of them, you the other<\/p>\n

In the house, melancholy and terrible anxiety<\/p>\n

Outside the keyhole, a sunset<\/p>\n

Dyed with the blood of the beautiful bullfighter Escamillo<\/p>\n

Scorched by the sunset, headlong, headfirst<\/p>\n

Falling, falling, a gymnast<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re going to open your eyes, nows the time, wrestler<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
