The Grumpy Vegan recently had the opportunity to make his first visit to the National Trust property Polesden Lacey which is in Surrey. The main house was, of course, lovely. Well, they all are. What’s not to like? It was the estate, however, that was particularly beautiful to explore.

- This isn’t the main house. It’s just the home for one of the most important “help” (i.e., Head Gardener).

- The grounds at Polesden Lacey are all lovely but this woodland garden was particularly beautiful for its simplicity.

- The dogs cemetery was closer to the main house than the cemetery for its human inhabitants. This stone remembers Cho, a Pekingese.
